TuneUp Mobile

  • TuneUp Mobile

TuneUp Mobile allows you to identify any music you hear. It does so with a simple and fun interface. It was created for TuneUp Media as a tool to bring people to their desktop tool. In order to do that, it analyzes the music library on your phone and tells you the ways in which TuneUp for the desktop could fix your collection. Concept and implementation by us here at Velos and design by TuneUp Media.

From TechCrunch:

You can activate the app when you’re listening to music that you don’t recognize, then it will identify the song based on the audio. (You can also look up the lyrics, and there’s a link to download the song from iTunes.) … I tested TuneUp Mobile by playing some of the music on my laptop, and it identified the correct songs without fail.

From MarketWatch:

In addition to being a fast and simple way to identify songs, TuneUp Mobile also provides sample and purchase options from iTunes, real-time lyrics, geotagging, and deep Facebook and Twitter sharing features. Beyond this, TuneUp Mobile automagically™ provides users with a free diagnostic of their mobile music collections with stats on missing song information, album cover art and duplicate tracks that they can manage with TuneUp for the desktop.

From iLounge:

Using the acoustic fingerprinting technology from the desktop version, TuneUp Mobile allows users to identify almost any song playing from an external source; users simply tap the “Listen” button and the song is identified in as little as three seconds along with lyrics, geo-tagging and options for sharing song info to Facebook and Twitter.
